9/11: "Our Generation's Pearl Harbor"

If you were to ask the question, Where were you on September 11, 2001, every American could tell you. Today I heard an American soldier being interviewed and at the end, he said this:
"9/11 is our generation's Pearl Harbor."

That struck me. Why had I never connected the dots? While there are many differences, true, there are also undeniable similarities. We were attacked on American soil. Unexpectedly. From the air.

What are your thoughts on the differences and similarities between Pearl Harbor and 9/11? Would love to hear your thoughts.

For your reflection, below are the speeches of President Roosevelt (1942) and President George Bush (2001) after the two disastrous attacks on Americans in America.

Will we ever forget?
